Back to the source with Bodegas Ercavio Tempranillo Roble 2005; $8 at Bottle King ***
Medium body, big nose for a cheap wine, very satisfying. Attractively rustic a la Primitivo or Zin. Some of the granite flavor you get in a Garnacha. Very complementary with medium-spicy food. We had BBQ chicken. Long time favorite, happy to find one in the cave d'Oxford.
